About Zeal
Why We Built Zeal
Zeal was built by operators. Our team spent years inside places like Accredo and PANTHERx and inside manufacturer programs, and we kept running into the same problems: delays, dead ends, and blind spots the industry had simply learned to live with. We started Zeal to fix them, and to bring a human touch back to the field that pioneered specialty care.
So, What’s With the Zebra?
In medicine, students are taught: “when you hear hoofbeats, don’t expect a zebra.” Most diagnoses are common. But in rare disease, we see the zebras. The zebra is the symbol of rare disease, and a reminder that every patient is an individual, not a number in a system. We change our stripes’ colors to back the advocacy causes of the patients we serve.
Our Purpose
We are driven by a deep sense of purpose: to be a beacon of hope and healing for those facing the challenges of rare and orphan diseases. In three words: optimize the patient experience.
Our Vision
To become the standard for what care SHOULD be across the specialty industry.
